Early Season Special Weeks in Vassiliki
Every year we start our season with 3 fantastic weeks when we invite special coaches to the Wildwind base to share their knowledge with us. There is no extra charge for these special weeks but places are limited so please call us as soon as possible to book your place.
Special Weeks - Don’t feel you have to join in on our more intensive training and coaching weeks at the beginning of the season… our normal programme will be running alongside and our instructors will be happy to give you their undivided attention whether you’re a beginner or you’ve been sailing all your life.
May 6th – 13th - Multihull Race training. ‘Sail with the Heart, Win with the Mind’ Returning to Vassiliki for the third year running Kostas Trigonis is not only Tornado World and European champion he has also been training on one of the new America’s Cup 40 foot catamarans. Reviewed here in ‘Yachts&Yachting’ Kostas’ style of teaching is informal, highly entertaining and absolutely inspiring. May 13th – 20th – Laser Training with Chris Gowers
We are delighted to announce that even in an Olympic year, Team GBR head coach Chris Gowers WILL be returning to Vassiliki for his always popular Laser training weeks which this year will take place from May 13th to 20th. Open only to a dozen lucky sailors who will benefit from Chris’s unique coaching style (he took Paul Goodison to Gold at the 2008 Olympics) and his many stories. Prices start at only £745 including flight, accommodation, and as much sailing and instruction as you can handle. ONLY 6 places left!
May 20th – 27th – Match Racing with Ian McEwan
Another member of the successful British Olympic Sailing team’s coaching squad, Ian McEwan has been charged with the task of training the British Ladies match racing team. If you’ve never tried matc racing before here is the perfect opportunity, Ian’s relaxed and fun approach will mean that you return home with improved boat handling skills and a better understanding of the racing rules (you’ll practise beingthe jury too) that will stand you in great stead for the rest of your summer sailing. Prices are from only £795 again including flight and accommodation.

Vassiliki Watersports Festival
If you’ve been to Vassiliki before for the Festival you’ll know that there are great times to be had. As well as sailing and yacht regattas, there are windsurfing competitions, mountain bike races, and a series of excellent parties and concerts including live bands from the UK as well as Greek cultural nights. This year the Festival dates are Friday June 29th to Sunday July 1st. More information will be available in the New Year – but you can watch an excellent video of the 2010 event which included an event from the European Windsurf Pro Tour as well as the Greek catamaran cup here.
