Wildwind Holidays is a small independent company founded in 1988 by Simon Morgan, a keen dinghy club racer who started his ‘career’ in Cadets at Thorpe Bay YC where his father was busy winning Olympic medals with Keith Musto in a Flying Dutchman, and progressed to International competitions representing the UK and Greece in numerous Hobie Cat World and European Chamionships, having claimed both British and Greek National catamaran titles.
It was partly because of his enjoyment and inspiration from attending such events that Simon started Wildwind holidays as ’your sailing club away from home where you get to sail ALL of the boats in the boat park’ and it his absolute pleasure to give back to the sport that he loves by supporting and sponsoring clubs and associations at grass roots level and encouraging Wildwind holidaymakers who might only sail for a couple of weeks every year to pursue their sport when they get home.

In 2012 Wildwind is sponsoring the UK Laser Association Masters Nationals and the Inland Grand Prix events, the East Coast Piers Race organised by Marconi SC, the British Hobie Cat National Championships, & the Vassiliki Watersports Festival.
In 2011 we also sponsored the East Coast Piers Race (we have done for about 10 years) and our major event was the combined F18, Hurricane and Shearwater National Championships held at Yaverland SC on the Isle of Wight.
